Seth Shostak is the main spokesperson for SETI (Search for Extraterrtrial Intelligence). He is also a well known astronomer. He tells of a meeting he went to in Britain with many of their top astronomers of the Royal Academy. The subject was the new openness to talk of extraterrestrial intelligences in far off planets that may mirror our own. He also updates on the many activities of SETI above and beyond listening for signals from outer space.
