LAMONT WOOD was inspired by the finding of the ancient Antikythera Mechanism to dig into the history of other ideas and artifacts that surfaced many years before we moderns think we invented them. The Romans were defeated in the battle of Syracuse in the year 214 B.C. by the use of derricks that lifted their ships out of the water and dropped huge boulders on them. Lord Byron's daughter was the first computer programmer years before the computer was invented. A British naval writer wrote a book predicting the events of Pearl Harbor in 1925. Admiral Yamamoto read the book, lectured on it, and himself planned the actual attack in 1941. The Romans invented the steam engine but had slaves to do the work so never bothered to develop it. Were the ancient religious paintings showing UFO's in the sky really UFO's? Decide for yourself.
